1. Complete common tasks with a flick of the wrist

Motorola has long led the pack when it comes to custom gestures, and the Moto G Stylus 5G continues the tradition. From twisting and shaking to flipping and pressing, you can do a lot with a few wiggles of your hand.

Here are a few of our favorite gestures:

There are a few others, found in the Moto app underGestures, but these are the most practical options that will speed up your smartphone experience.

2. Write a quick note without unlocking your phone

Stylus-equipped smartphones are often paired with great note-taking apps, but this one takes the cake. Moto Note allows you to create saved notes in the app. It also allows typing, writing, images, and voice memos to be stored in the same spot.

Even better, the app automatically opens as soon as you take out the stylus for fast note-taking. You don’t have to unlock your device. Just take out the stylus and jot down the clever thought that popped into your head.

3. Grab a coloring book (or phone) when the world is overwhelming

Whileadult coloring books were popularlong before the COVID-19 pandemic, they gained a much wider audience during the quarantine. The Moto G Stylus 5G is equipped to take this new hobby on the go, as it offers a fun coloring book app that works with the stylus.

There are plenty of templates to get you started. Take some time to cycle through the artistic options available in the app, including four drawing tools with varied colors and sizes. Once you’ve mastered the art of coloring with your stylus, it’s possible to begin to create your own illustrations within the app.

As soon as you remove the stylus from its dock, a small translucent icon appears on your device, allowing you to access six stylus shortcuts, which you can customize.

By default, it’s possible to access Moto Note and Coloring Book, including basics like a GIF maker and video screenshot tool. However, you can change any preselected apps to those of your choice, so your stylus experience is that much more comprehensive.
