The star of Marvel’s next TV show has revealed she’d love to team up with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in the MCU. Kathryn Hahn, who debuted as villainous witch Agatha Harkness inWandaVisionand returns inAgatha All Alongon September 18, confirmed the God of Mischief would be her ideal co-star.
Hahn appeared at Fan Expo Canada to promoteAgatha All Alongthis weekend, whereScreenRantwas also in attendance. Asked what her dream hypothetical Marvel team-up would be, she first praised the dynamic between the cast of the upcomingWandaVisionspin-off, before highlighting Hiddleston’s fan-favorite antihero:
“I mean, this particular chemistry is pretty right on [gesturing to Joe Locke]… If it was outside of this coven, I always thought Loki would be fun. A lot of mischief.”
Agatha Will Return In The MCU, So Is There A Chance?
There is, of course, the possibility that Agatha’s story will continue in some fashion afterAgatha: All Along’s events. Persistent rumors suggest a tie to Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch through Joe Locke’s mysteriously named “Teen”, andOlsen’s expected MCU returnnow has more weight after a new report from Deadline. That, obviously, could set up Agatha’s unfinished business with the witch who cursed her inWandaVision’s ending, buta crossover with Loki feels impossible at this point.
Loki’s ending saw Tom Hiddleston’s new God of Stories take up his seat as the protector of the multiverse timelines, and he’s now essentially outside of reality. Hahn’s desired mischief would have to take a radical turn for them to meet, though oneMCU theory links the Darkhold and Kang, so it’s not entirely impossible if the latter does somehow return forAvengers: Doomsdayor before. Still, the dream may be difficult to realize even with immense magic shared between the characters.
More concrete isAgatha’s confirmed return inWhat If…?season 3for a musical episode - as exclusively revealed to ScreenRant - which could also see the newcomer to that animated show team up with Loki. Hiddleston previously reprised his character for both seasons ofWhat If…?and if there’s any upcoming multiversal property that could provide an opportunity to bring Agatha and Loki together, it’s probably that one.
