Big Brother 26has some major changes to its nominations and evictions, courtesy of Ainsle, the AI character who’s controlling the game this summer.Big Brother 26features 16 houseguests competing for the $750,000 prize. During the two-night season premiere, they were asked to vote if they’d like to allow a 17th houseguest, Ainsle, to join the game. What they didn’t know was that the vote was a test from Ainsle, and she had their fate in her hands.
During theBig Brother 26premiere, the houseguests played in competitions based on whether they voted yes or no to Ainsle entering the house. Chelsie Baham and Cedric Hodges voted no, and lost their competitions, becoming BB mascots. They couldn’t compete for Head of Household (HOH), the Power of Veto, or vote, but they were eligible to be nominated and evicted. In addition,Quinn Martin won the Deepfake HOH, allowing him to take over an HOH, while Makensy Manbeck won America’s Veto, which gives her the ability to save someone from the chopping block, while America chooses the replacement nominee.

Much to their shock, Ainsle informedtheBig Brother 26housegueststhatthe HOH will nominate three houseguests for eviction rather than the usual two. If one of the nominees is saved with the Power of Veto, then the HOH will name a replacement nominee, so that there are still three nominees on the chopping block on eviction night. However, not all of the nominees will receive votes during the evictions, as one will have a last-minute chance to save themselves.

Ainsle added that the three nominees will compete live in her AI Arena right before the live eviction. The winner of the competition will immediately come off the block and be safe. The other two contestants will return to the house, and one of them will be voted out. If one of the mascots is on the block on eviction night,they’ll be eligible to play in the AI Arena, despite being excluded from the other competitions during the week.
