Apple Watch Digital Crown Not Working? Try These 5 Fixes
The Digital Crown on your Apple Watch plays many vital roles in operating your watch. From accessing the app manager and scrolling to increasing and reducing the volume, the Digital Crown is an essential part of the Apple Watch.
However, like other physical parts of your device, the Digital Crown may malfunction over time. On that note, here are some fixes to try if the Digital Crown stops working.

1. Clean the Digital Crown
Since the Digital Crown is a physical button outside the watch, it tends to gather dirt and dust. Over time the dirt can make it difficult to operate the Digital Crown if it gets stuck or hard to move. So, always clean the Digital Crown when you notice dirt piling up to prevent this. Here’s how:
Properly wipe down your Apple Watch, including the Digital Crown. Then turn it back on and see if it works. If not, proceed to the next step.

2. Restart Your Apple Watch
If your Digital Crown malfunctions due to a software issue, one quick troubleshooting method is restarting your Apple Watch. However, like your iPhone, there’s no button to restart your Apple Watch, so you’ll have to power it off and turn it back on.
To turn off your Apple Watch, long-press theSidebutton, then tap thePowericon on the top-right of the screen. Drag thePower Offslider to turn off the watch. To turn it back on, hold theSidebutton till the Apple logo appears.
