TheWind Tameris a unique item inBlack Myth: Wukongand is one of four Vessels that can be found and equipped in the game. When selected,Vessels grant the Destined One active and passive effects. Consume Qi to trigger Wind Tamer’s active effect of immunity from strong winds, a key environmental feature in Chapter Twoand a particularly useful resource against theYellow Wind Sage.
Only one Vessel can be equipped at a time. Understanding the enemies of a region informs Vessel selection. They are also easy-to-miss items if the you doesn’t stray off the main path to encounter mini-bosses and complete side quests, as is the case for finding Wind Tamer. Complete two side quests and enter a secret location to acquire this Vessel.Take down Fuban, and Wind Tamer will be rewarded.

Free The NPC And Then Defeat Them In Combat
To find the Man-In-Stone inBlack Myth: Wukong, fight through Sand Gate Village toreach the Fright Cliff area in Chapter Two. Make sure to activate the Keeper’s Shrine in Squall Hideout, near the location of Man-In-Stone. The path right of the shrine will lead you to a ravine guarded by palestones. The ravine can be crossed by a natural land bridge formation. Instead of crossing, drop into the ravine from the bridge. At the end of the lower path, you’ll come across an NPC.Talk to Man-In-Stone to initiate the quest.
If struggling to find the Man-In-Stone, listen for the NPC’s voice queues. He is trapped and, thus, calling for help.

The quest has three straightforward phases. First,recover the Stone Essence. Man-In-Stone claims, “Some bastard has got me trapped in this rock with his spell!” He prompts the Sun Wukong to journey to a cave where, “There’s a rock guai lurkin’, holdin’ secrets,” he suggests.
Fight your way through more rock guai, including poisestones. Continue along the path above the ravine to reach Rockrest Flats, where the cave is located. In the cave, the Destined One must defeatMother of Stonesand several more palestones. Once beaten,Mother of Stones drops Stone Essence.

Return to Man-In-Stone and offer him Stone Essence. The NPC, though thankful, will turn hostile. Quickly put the fraud back in his place by blundering him. Cowering in fear, the trickster rock will reward you with theAssure Dust Transformation Spell. That will complete the second phase of the quest. For the final part, rest at a shrine to reset the NPC. Now respectful of the Destined One’s power,Man-In-Stone will provide service as a merchant. Open the shop and purchase theSobering Stone, which will advance the Wind Tamer Vessel Quest.

How To Complete The Wind Tamer Quest: Drunken Boar
Do The Boar’s Bidding To Access the Kingdom of Sahali
Once the Sobering Stone is in possession, advance through the Fright Cliff area. Take the item to the Drunken Boar to initiate the next side quest for acquiring the Wind Tamer Vessel. The new NPC is located along the right-side path from theRockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine.
Moving up, you’ll notice an archway. Avoid entering this area and continue right from the gate to an open field. The boar will be found resting against a cluster of boulders patting its belly.Talk to the boar and offer the Sobering Stone.

After resting at a shrine,the Drunken Boar will relocate to Crouching Tiger Temple. Progress naturally through the map until you reach the Temple Entrance. On the temple steps, the Boar will once again require the your assistance.
This time, the NPC asks you to collect something good to eat. The Boar cravesJade Lotus,an item found abundantly in Chapter One. Feed the Boar to advance the quest. Satisfied, the character speaks of The Realm of Gold. Move to the next quest phase by traveling back to Rockrest Flat.
Find the Boar where the NPC was first encountered. If you’ve made it this far, the Destined One should have slain the Flowing Sands in the Sandgate Village to acquire theArhat Gold Piece. If the item is in possession, prepare for a fight. Find the Boar guarding the passage to a large doorway.
Only a friend has turned foe, now named Yellow-Robed Squire.Fight Yellow-Robed Squire. Once its health is dwindled, the boss will admit defeat and lead you to the Realm of Gold. Or a secret area known as theKingdom of Sahali.
Secret Area: Kingdom of Sahali
Take Down The Secret Boss Fuban To Acquire Wind Tamer
There is little to do inBlack Myth: Wukong’s Kingdom of Sahali but fight. You willface off against Tiger Vanguardbefore battling the main boss of the area, Fuban. Defeating Tiger Vanguard will force the guai to ask for your help,imploring you to get rid of a powerful foe.
Explore the area that meets the Monkey’s desire, but ultimately, a significant challenge lies ahead. Ascending a cliff, the Yellow Wind Sage, Tiger Vanguard’s king, waits your arrival. Yellow Wind Sage claims it needs a fighter of The Destined One’s caliber, “Then, the yaoguai will be mine.”Defeat Fuban to earn the Wind Tamer Vessel.
Fuban is a giant beetle as see inElbethium’s video,immune to the winds of the region. Use every spell and ability in your arsenal to weaken Fuban. When the boss’s health is quartered, the giant will stagger. Climb Fuban’s back to extract theEyes of Buddhafrom the massive head it carries.
A cutscene triggers, and Yellow Wind Sage will join the fight, assisting you till the end. With Fuban beaten, Yellow Wind Sage claims the Yaoguai it sought but offers gratitude bygiving the Destined One Wind Tamer Vessel. Something the chief will soon regret when you confront Yellow Wind Sage after Chapter Two.

Equip Wind Tamer To Conquer The Reign Of Yellow Wind Sage
With Fuban defeated and Wind Tamer in possession, leave Kingdom of Sahali andcontinue exploration of Yellow Sand Ridge. Equip Wind Tamer so that its passive damage reduction effect is perpetually applied to Sun Wukong. If facing foes who use wind attacks,activate the vessel to make the Destined One impervious to wind damage.
-Qimanages spirit and vessel activation.
- Vessel Passive Effects are applied by default whenever a Vessel is equipped, regardless of Qi.
- Staminais used for basic attacks, whileManais used for spells.
After scouring the Yellow Wind Formation inBlack Myth: Wukong,take on Yellow Wind Sage. The fragile alliance formed between the Destined One and Yellow Wind Sage during the fight against Fuban will break when it comes time to cleanse the Yellow Sand Ridge of the false king’s dominion.
Lessen the main chief’s attack power with Wind Tamer equipped, activating the vessel when Qi is full. After activation has ended,you will need to stay on the attack to recharge your Qi supply. Defeat Yellow Wind Sage and progress to Chapter Three inBlack Myth: Wukong.
