2025 is a big year forCall of Duty: Warzoneas it celebrates its fifth anniversary with the return of the original battle royale map Verdansk, and players will be able to use some ofWarzone’smost iconic weapons again as part of the celebration. Every timeWarzoneintegrates with the yearlyCall of Dutyrelease, new weapons become the go-to options, but few have had the same impact as the weapons fromModern Warfare(2019) did duringWarzone’sfirst year.
There’s a lot ofpressure for Verdansk’s return to succeedin the wake of falling player counts, soit’s letting players easily get their hands on some of the bestWarzoneweapons in the game’s historyto make coming back to the game less of a grind. One of these already exists inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, though it sees very little play in multiplayer orWarzone. That will change once Season 3 arrives on April 2 thanks to a clever attachment choice.

A Special Conversion Kit Breathes New Life Into A Disappointing BO6 Gun
The Swat 5.56 Is Going To Become A Meta Staple Overnight
The Swat 5.56 is a Marksman rifle that was quickly overshadowed by most ofBlack Ops 6’s best weapons. It also never really took off inWarzoneafter the game’s integration, with the XM4 outclassing it in all areas and having its own burst-fire mod attachment. That’s going to change when Season 3 launches, asthe Swat 5.56 will get a new Conversion Kit Attachment that turns it into the Grau 5.56 assault riflethat dominated theWarzonemeta in its early years.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone - How To Request SBMM Rating
Call of Duty’s matchmaking is dictated by a player’s SBMM rating, but this info isn’t readily available. Players who want it must follow these steps.
It’s a shame the Grau won’t return as its own weapon in the game. However, this new Conversion Kit is stronger than previous versions inBlack Ops 6, because it will add two additional attachments to the gun.The converted Swat 5.56 will gain a 50-round magazine and a default barrel attachment, which cannot be changed, but are effectively the same attachments used on the Grau inModern Warfare. This means you don’t have a net negative number of attachments when using this conversion kit, and you’ll still have four slots to use for the muzzle, underbarrel, grip, and so on.

Other Classic Warzone Weapons Are Returning For Free
You Won’t Have To Grind For Hours To Use Some Of The Best Warzone Weapons
Of course, to use the Grau inBlack Ops 6andWarzoneSeason 3, you’ll need to have the gun unlocked and leveled up to use the conversion kit. That isn’t the case for two more ofWarzone’s classic weapons that are returning. The CR-56 AMAX assault rifle and the HDR sniper rifle are coming toBlack Ops 6in the Season 3 battle pass, likely at tiers three and six when looking at when theBO6andWarzoneSeason 2battle pass weapons were unlocked.
There is one moreWarzoneweapon returning that players won’t need to do anything to unlock other than log intoWarzone. The Kilo 141 Assault Rifle will become unlocked to anyone who downloads and launchesWarzoneduring its launch window.Black Ops 6Season 3 will go live on April 2, butWarzonewill go down for 24 hours, and players will be able to dive back into Verdansk on April 3 with its legendary weapons once again.
