What Happened In Dan Da Dan Episode #5?
Momo And Okarun’s Relationship Becomes Even Stronger
The episode begins with Okarun arriving at school, where he is surprised to see Momo waiting for him at the entrance. She engages him in a conversation about aliens, but Okarun still feels nervous around her. Unfortunately, they have to part ways since they are in different classes. Throughout the day, both Okarun and Momo think about each other, eagerly anticipating their lunch break to continue their conversation. As noon approaches, they search for one another but struggle to find each other until just a few minutes are left before lunch ends.
Due to an accident, their faces hit each other, and they accidentally kiss. Momo’s friends witness this and tease both of them about it. Flustered, they deny a relationship, make fun of each other, and angrily walk off. Okarun starts to feel bad but notices something off and rushes to Momo’s class to talk to her. Unfortunately, Momo berates him as she is still embarrassed, and Okarun walks away in sadness. After school ends, Momo, who is feeling bad for how she treated her friend, sees Aira messing with Okarun and decides to defend him from her, and apologizes afterward for being mean.

The two make up and apologize to each other, butOkarun reveals his testicles are missing. With Seiko’s help, they realize this was the making of Turbo Granny. whose spirit is still inside Okarun. They manage to pull out the remnants of Turbo Granny and trap her in a cat doll. However, Momo held no ill will against her, mainly because of how she helps young girls who were assaulted, and so makes a deal with her. In exchange for giving Okarun back his testicles, they would give her back her powers. Turbo Granny agrees but reveals she hid Okarun’s family jewels elsewhere.

What made this episode the best was how much of an emotional rollercoaster it was. The wholesome moment at the beginning where Okarun and Momo couldn’t wait to see each other again was refreshing. Okarun walking away in pain after Momo told him to go away was heartbreaking, and Aira toying with Okarun made fans angry. The series effortlessly switches the tone from happy to sad, and episode #5 showedDan Da Dan’s true range. As the anime goes on, fans will see thatthe true strength ofDan Da Danis its ability to invoke emotions like no other.
A New Adventure Begins For The Protagonists
The Search For Okarun’s Family Jewels Begins
This episode was a much-needed break from the fights and battles, but the series is going back into the action and adventure soon. Okarun now has the ability to transform into Turbo Mode without the risk of being possessed, and Momo’s psychic abilities are gradually becoming stronger. Everything has been set up for the next storyline, and where their search for Okarun’s “family jewels” will take them is anyone’s guess, but it will surely be interesting.
Another interesting thing to note from the episode is that Turbo Granny will maintain a role going forward but no longer as an antagonist. Furthermore, fans can expect to see more of the controversial character Aira as the series goes on. Besides strengthening the relationship of the main duo,Dan Da Danhas increased its main cast as it enters the next arc by revealing the real plot of the series.
