This size difference may have been intended to emphasize the comic accuracy of Wolverine’s own mask, which sports large white animated eyes as well. BeforeDeadpool & Wolverine’s release, Wolverine’s mask became one of the most anticipated reveals of the whole movie due to its absence in every trailer and poster.

In the comics, Deadpool sports a belt buckle with an image of his mask printed on it. After all, the TVA has pruned countless variants from all kinds of timelines for an indefinite amount of time, as seen inLokiseasons 1 and 2.Deadpool uses his new adamantium katanas to fight Wolverine in the Void, where he puts up a fight against Wolverine’s adamantium claws and comes dangerously close to damaging Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton. Deadpool’s tiny knife also seems to be made up of the same material.

The first Deadpool variant that Wolverine and Prime Deadpool meet on their quest to stop Cassandra Nova is Nicepool, a pacifist version of Deadpool with Wade Wilson’s original appearance and a full head of blond hair. Against Wolverine’s wishes,Deadpool takes advantage of Nicepool’s generosity, using Nicepool as a human shield and stealing Dogpool from him, all before stealing his favorite gold-plated gunsfrom his decapitated corpse. Wolverine disapproves of this despite the fact that he also contributes to the destruction of Nicepool’s car.
