Like every new Episode ofDestiny 2, Heresy has featured some balance changes that change the meta in a really fun way. Long gone are the Sunbracer Warlock days ofLightfall, but with the introduction of Bolt Charge and Chaos Reach changes, it’s looking like Arc is the way to go for most endgame content. With weapons like Lodestar and Coldheart benefiting so heavily from the Artifact mods boosting Trace Rifle utility and power, there’s no reason not to pick up one of the many Trace Rifles the game has to offer.
Buildcrafting, at its core, focuses on one goal, determined by the player. As with any build, it’s important to figure out what you want the build to do before you can make it happen. Whether you’re grinding outpowerful Episode: Heresy weaponsor doing casual Nether runs with friends, the activity you’re playing will determine what build you want to run. However, across most activities, each class has a few pretty clear front runners.

Best Warlock Builds In Heresy Act 2
You’re Probably Tired Of Hearing Chaos Reach/Geomags, But…
As mentioned, the addition of Bolt Charge toDestiny 2has made Arc better on every class, as it racks up free stacks per tick of damage applied, creating huge bursts of Arc damage on your target. This, when combined with Geomag Stabilizers' Super regen buff – Super given per Ionic Trace was buffed from 2% to 7% – creates a perfect storm of attributes to really put Chaos Reach on top for Warlocks.Your Aspects and Fragments will all focus on generating Ionic Traces, applying Arc debuffs, and building your Chaos Reach as fast as possible, so here’s what you should use:
Delicate Tomb or Coldheart

Spark of Frequency
Thankfully, this is one of those builds where Armor and Artifact mods don’t matter too much, but they can enhance your build. If you want a little more oomph to your build, run the following Artifact mods:
Each of these mods works to boost your Arc power, letting you mow down enemies and burst bosses at a pretty obscene rate.As long as you’re generating Ionic Traces, whether through Delicate Tomb kills, Coldheart kills, or otherwise, your Super uptime should be pretty consistent.Overall, Arc Warlocks have it pretty easy this season with one of the simplest yet most powerful builds we’ve seen in a while.

I run an Overflow/Jolting Feedback Watchful Eye in my Heavy slot, and then whatever primary in the Kinetic, and I’ve not really struggled for ammo in anything butSundered Doctrine dungeon runs, so you may play around with what weapons suit your playstyle best once you get the build off the ground.
Best Hunter Builds In Heresy Act 2
Ability Spam Isn’t Just For Warlocks, Thanks To Gifted Conviction
With the release of Prismatic, Hunters have begun to combine their various Exotics in really fun ways, but one classic combination is Gifted Conviction with the Ark Ascension Aspect. This is one of the Aspects that’s included in Prismatic, and it pairs with the rest of the Hunter Prism kit in a way that makes it great for add clear, even in endgame content. Now that Ascension counts as a dodge thanks to a semi-recent change, using Ascension near enemies now allows your melee ability to be refunded, perpetuating the gameplay loop of melee>Ascension with Gambler’s Dodge>melee>profit.
Alongside Gambler’s and Acsension working together, Ascension Jolting targets means that Stylish Executioner should also kick in, giving you invisibility and letting you get back into melee range, charging your dodge back up and letting the cycle continue.
For this build to operate, here are the pieces you need:
Facet of Sacrifice
Facet of Protection
Gifted Conviction buffs your Ascension, throwing bouncing explosives nearby to Jolt and damage your targets. This feeds back into the loop, refunding your class ability and boosting your damage resistance for a short time. While this build doesn’t rely on your super for dps, equipping Silence and Squall will allow you to deal with large groups of adds or majors that might otherwise give you trouble. Your boss DPS is going to rely massively on what weapons you choose, sopick something like The Queenbreaker or Lord of Wolves for successful burst damage.
Best Titan Builds In Heresy Act 2
Do You Like Bolt Charge? Because We’ve Got Bolt Charge
Thanks to the interaction between how Bolt Charge accumulates and how Le Monarque applies damage, Arc Titans can set up their very own power plant behind the safety of their Rally Barricade. When combined with Storm’s Keep, you’ll be able toblast groups of adds and bosses alike with max stacks of Bolt Charge from across an arena, something that can be very helpful in Sundered Doctrine and other endgame content. Everything you’ll need to make this build work is as follows:
Le Monarque
The basic gameplay loop for this build is simple;throw down your barricade>grenade>Le Monarque>repeat.Generally, this allows you to build Bolt Charge extremely fast and discharge it without even needing to do ability damagelike it normally would. Heart of Inmost Light lets your other abilities be stronger when you pop your barricade, and as they regen, you’ll be able to continue this cycle with very little issue. As for artifact perks, make sure you grab the same Arc-focused ones that Warlocks do.
Another important thing to remember for any class using an Arc subclass is to keep your Tome of Want Rituals active, as these boost your artifact perks. Whenever you’ve got a ritual running, certain perks will be stronger, allowing you to make more use of them. Toget ritual materials and Metastasized Essentia, play Heresy activities like the Nether and Court of Blades.
No matter what build or class you run inDestiny 2’s newest content, there’s almost always something new to try. While there are standout builds in every class, there are very few builds that are completely unplayable, particularly in the seasonal content. Story quests and Guardian Games activities are simple enough that you’re able to throw on a silly build to run with friends, saving the serious builds for harder content. Give these builds a try, then consider experimenting a bit on your own to make the best build for your unique playstyle.
