Summary

OneThe Legend of Zeldafan created hilariousTears of the Kingdomstyle Fused items inOcarina Of Time, which effectively breaks the whole game. One of the best features ofTears of the Kingdomis the ability to create new and exciting items by Fusing things together. This has allowed fans to come up with some incredibly impressive and functional builds, includingeasy vehicles for traveling around Hyruleand any number of odd contraptions for defeating enemies. These builds range from useful, to silly, to just downright impressive and opened up an entirely new way to play the game.

One clever modder, notCHaseon YouTube, has shown exactly whatTOTK’s Fuse ability would look like if implemented intoOcarina Of Time.Originally reported byWccftech, this feature is a mod that is currently under development for a PC port of the game.

Though it is not available yet, notCHase’s video shows how helpful Fuse could be for players going throughOcarina of Time, making large sections of the game trivial. It works essentially the same as it does inTears of the Kingdom– Fuse is used on a selected object in the environment to attach it to Link’s sword or shield. Of course, this has game-breaking abilities, but it’s well worth the entertainment it brings.

The Fuse Mod For Ocarina Of Time Creates Hilarious Scenes

Anything Can Become A Weapon Thanks To The Mod

As seen in the video, notCHase ran around creating weapons out of trees, rocks, signs, enemies, and even guards. The video hilariously shows off notCHase Fusing with a guard and using him to destroy pots. They even Fused the Master Sword to the Kokiri Sword, creating a double sword-type weapon. Though it doesn’t mention if these items are more powerful depending on what they’re Fused with, like thebest Fuse materials inTOTK, it did show off that taking a torch could allow the player to burn through cobwebs, just like lighting a Deku Stick.

Creating unique items is a feature that players never knew they needed untilTears of the Kingdombrought it to life, but now it seems as though many players wish it could be a feature in all the otherZeldagames. Thanks to creative players like notCHase, this mod will let players experience this feature in at least one previousZeldatitle. This is really only possible since theclassicZeldagame has a PC port, where new assets can be added to the game.

Themodding community is always improving gameplay, so it is exciting to see this feature become a reality in older games, since Fuse is such a novel mechanic inTOTK. WithThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomon the horizon, Zelda’s new ability to create Echoes of objects and enemies will likely inspire similar mods. ThisOcarina of Timemod is certainly impressive, asTears of the Kingdomis generally considered a technical triumph for the seamless nature of Fuse and other abilities in the game, making it a similarly ambitiousThe Legend of Zeldatitle toOcarina.
