He also shared that the show is in post-production and that “I love this season, myself.” He described it as a “returning show” and shared that their intention is that Hawley won’t return to the possibleFargoseason 6 until two full seasons of the sci-fi horror show are completely written. Read his full quote below:

Noah is deep in work on Season 1 of “Alien: Earth” right now. We’re in post-production, and we are talking to him and watching cuts every week. We’re pretty bullish on “Alien: Earth” and we’ve told him that assuming, as we hope, “Alien: Earth” is a returning television series, we want him to focus on on at least writing two seasons of it before returning to a possible sixth season of “Fargo.” So it’s going to be a little while, but I’m also intensely proud of that show. [Noah] is an extraordinary talent. And we’ve been privileged to work with him for more than a decade on three shows now. I love this season myself. Just absolutely loved it. I thought it was original, really moving, funny. It ultimately sort of captured the moment that we’re living through right now in a very poignant way.
The Title Alien: Earth Could Confirm A Major Plot Detail
The Meaning Of The Title Of FX’s Alien Show Seems Clear.
Ultimately, the possible title for theAlienshow seems to double down on the teased setting, even though it remains to be seen if it is even confirmed that it is the official title.
It seems like this possible title for the show confirms the previously revealed detail that FX’sAlienprequelwill take place on Earth in the near future. However, that factor complicates the canon of the original movie, which largely focuses on the corrupt corporation Weyland-Yutani’s attempt to bring a Xenomorph from a far-flung corner of the universe to Earth, to study it. This would seemingly indicate that there are no examples of the species on Earth at the time in which the original Ridley Scott movie is set.

However, if this show indeed takes place on Earth, it won’t be the first time that this has happened in the franchise. Although their place in the canon of theAlienmoviesis questionable, the twoAlien vs. Predatorspinoffs take place on Earth. The first sees the Predators fighting Xenomorphs in an ancient pyramid buried in the Antarctic, with unwitting humans caught in between. While the setting of that movie was likely designed to include modern-day Earthlings without jeopardizing the canon of the original movies, the sequel followed Xenomorphs and Predators battling in American suburbia.
1979’sAlienis set in the year 2122 whileAvPandAliens vs. Predator: Requiemare set in the mid-2000s.
Ultimately, the possible title for theAlienshow seems to double down on the teased setting, even though it remains to be seen if it is even confirmed that it is the official title. It could potentially be a working title that is changed before the publicity campaign for the show rolls out in earnest. However, during the official announcement of the show’s title, more plot details could be revealed that clarify exactly how and why the show takes place on Earth.
