Summary

One of the best leaked changes inGenshin Impact5.0 may have nothing to do with Natlan, the next new region and the most relevant part of the upcoming patch. Version 5.0 is expected to arrive in late August if the regular six-week schedule between updates doesn’t suffer delays. The patch will introduce the first portion of Natlan for players to explore, continuing the Traveler’s journey through Teyvat in search of their lost sibling. With it, players will also see the addition of severalNatlan characters inGenshin Impact, though their playable versions will be spaced out between updates.

These big annual updates also bring forth a series of modifications, such as the leaked Night Spirit mechanics, which will be exclusive to Natlan characters and will affect both combat and exploration. There are also incoming quality-of-life (QoL) updates, according to the leaks. For example, aleaked Spiral Abyss update inGenshin Impact5.0will allow players to skip some of the floors in the endgame activity if they meet certain prerequisites from the previous period. Now, there are leaks mentioning other quality-of-life updates, including what may be a much-needed buff to a specific type of enemy encounter.

The popular action RPG by HoYoverse is getting larger with each expansion, but its overload of content is not its main problem: it’s farming.

Genshin Impact 5.0 May Increase The Material Drop Rate For Some Enemies

Leaks Hint At Increased Drop Rates From Nobushi, Specters, Abyss Mages, & More

According to information obtained by the leaker known as HomDGCat, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit, some overworld enemies will have an increase to their material drop rates. HomDGCat’s leak mentions that Abyss Mages will see an 18% increase, while Ruin Guards will get a 50% boost. Ruin Graders will allegedly see a 25% drop rate increase, and Specters will have a 66.7% buff. The most surprising, however, is the leaked 100% material drop rate increase for Nobushi and Kairagi, which means these enemies will drop extrahandguards inGenshin Impact.

As stated in the leak, this buff to drop rates is not related to the rumored increase in world level, which will unlock world level 9 in the game.

Leaked Drop Rate Increases In Genshin Impact 5.0 Could Help Players With Older Characters

The Materials Dropped By These Enemies Are Some Of The Most Used For Characters & Weapons

The leaked increase in drop rates for these specific enemies comes as a blessing sincethe materials dropped from each of them are some of the most used across the entire game. The Divining Scrolls dropped by Abyss Mages, for example, are used by 11 characters to increase their Talents (including two forms of the Traveler), eight characters for Ascension, and an extra 19 weapons for Ascension. Surely, Abyss Mages are scattered across all major regions, but the sheer amount needed to fully ascend all of these characters and weapons demands more drops per unit inGenshin Impact.

The same can be said about Chaos Circuits from Ruin Guards and Ruin Graders. The most notable leaked increase in drop rates is that of Nobushi and Kairagi, even if the boost to Specters is more important. This is because not only does it boast the largest increase, but it also affects one of the most problematic items in the game.Handguards are known for the struggle involved in farming themgiven the low number of enemies that drop them exclusively in Inazuma. Furthermore, these items are used for multiple characters and weapons, making them very valuable inGenshin Impact.

While there are some in Sumeru, the largest number of Specters, like Nobushi and Kairagi, are located in Inazuma.

When the first Inazuma characters started being released and the Nation of Electro was not yet complete, farming handguards was particularly troublesome, since there were very few enemies located across Narukami Island versus an unreasonable amount of items demanded for complete character Ascension and Talents – without even considering the number needed for weapon Ascensions, too. Ayaka in Version 2.0 and Raiden Shogun in Version 2.1, when Inazuma was not yet complete, both demanded a high number of handguards, traumatizing the players who obtained them during those patches.

Genshin Impact 5.0 Leaks: The Game’s Coolest-Looking Glider Is Arriving In Natlan

The new Natlan glider in Genshin Impact has been shared in Version 5.0 leaks, hinting at what may be the most stylish glider in the game so far.

For now, the leak should be considered with caution, as the information may be incorrect or subject to change. However, this does look like a promising update, if not the most important part of the Version 5.0 patch. Hopefully, the new enemy types also see an increased drop rate so as to not repeat the mistakes of the past and have players frustrated farming materials for the new Natlan characters – which are being highly criticized due to HoYoverse’s continuedlack of representation inGenshin Impact’s characters.
