We’re going to do Happy Gilmore, thank you. This is happening. We’re getting ready to shoot it in New Jersey. We start in a couple weeks. It’s good. We worked hard on the script. We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking me for a long time. We’re really excited about it. We wrote our asses off. So many of the golfers are being nice and will be a part of it.

Happy Gilmore 2: 4 Actors Adam Sandler Must Bring Back For The Sequel

With Adam Sandler teasing the possibility of a Happy Gilmore 2 in development, there are some brilliant characters who deserve to be in the sequel.

With more major cameos on the way,the sequel is set to bring back this element from the original movie. There is perhaps no more famous figure in the sports world right now than Kelce, considering his highly-publicized relationship with Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII victory. Though he makes his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror seriesGrotesquerie, Kelce will likely cameo as himself inHappy Gilmore 2, considering how the first film used its celebrity cameos. He’s also an avid golfer during the NFL offseason, having participated in several celebrity tournaments.

ThoughHappy Gilmorefeatures an absurd premise, its cameos from real golfers and sportscasters helped it feel somewhat grounded in reality and the sports world. It seems that with a cameo from Kelce and others, the sequel should be able to accomplish that same sense of verisimilitude with the world of an absurd sports comedy. Though it’s unclear how he will fit into the sequel’s story, Kelce can be counted among the major cameos confirmed forHappy Gilmore 2.
