With that kind of success, rumors quickly spread thatWarner Bros. was pushing for some kind of follow-upwith many suggesting that Avalanche was already in the early stages of production on a sequel.
WhileHogwarts Legacyproved to be a massive success amongstHarry Potterfans, the game didn’t receive the same kind of reception from critics.Many reviews felt that the open-world RPG suffered from bland quest design and generally dull ideas, focusing on delivering a familiar experience that was neither special norunique to theWizarding World. The game was also mired by the ongoing controversy surrounding franchise creator J.K. Rowling for her transphobic beliefs.
