Speaking toComicbook.com’sPhase Zero,Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige commented on the possibility of seeing an Avengers vs X-Men event in the MCU.
Feige noted that the MCU had to make changes to major comic book storylines due to not having the movie rights to certain characters, such as the X-Men. While not confirming that an Avengers vs X-Men movie is coming, Feige did say thatfuture Marvel moviesnow can use the full force of Marvel Comics characters, saying, “It’s all possible now.” Check out the full quote below:

So when we were doing [Captain America:] Civil War for instance, or even [Avengers:] Infinity War, there were just dozens of characters that we had to take out of those comic stories because we didn’t have access to them. At the moment, the MCU’s X-Men movie has a writer but no director, script, or cast. As such, the film is still some time away, with the start of Phase 7 afterAvengers: Secret Warsbeing the most likely for it. That would allow the MCU to close out the Multiverse Saga before moving on to the mutants. Avengers vs X-Men could then be the first movie for the team or an event after Marvel’s new X-Men debut.
However, there is a chance thatAvengers 5’s storycould end up being changed to include the X-Men. The reason for that isKang the Conqueror is reportedly out ofAvengers 5, with the movie said to no longer be calledAvengers: The Kang Dynasty. Marvel is reportedly searching for a new story and title for the next appearance of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and Avengers vs X-Men would be an exciting replacement for Kang.

Based on that, a 2026 Avengers vs X-Men adaptation is possible.
