Monster Hunter Outlanders Looks Like The Real Deal

There’s Even A Grappling Hook!

The gameplay trailer forMonster Hunter Outlanderscertainly paints a picture of a full-fledged installment as the footage shows off what players will be doing when they’re out in the field. Beyond the stunning environments, traversal seems to be a major part of the game asHunters are shown sliding down hills, gliding over the landscape, and even swinging across canopies with a slick grappling hook. It also appears that vertical surfaces will bescalable much likeThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which should open up some exciting exploration opportunities.

Monster Hunter Outlandersis still clearly in early development as the announcement trailer doesn’t show off the game’s combat, a system that will benefit from the planned playtests. It’s also worth noting thatthe performance looks somewhat choppy but this will likely also be smoothed out as production continues. The fact thatOutlanderslooks so good is exciting; It may be running on mobile devices, but TiMi Studio is clearly pushing the hardware to its limits.
