The Sims 4still has plenty of flaws even a decade after its initial release, and that probably won’t change no matter how many patches are made to fix issues. Luckily, the community is full of creative and tech-savvy players who are willing to help address content that leaves players frustrated or unsatisfied. Now, one of several life states that has been lackluster for a long time is finally receiving a revamp, and it’s the work of a prolific modder.

PlantSims were first introduced inThe Sims: Makin' Magic, and each main game afterward has had an expansion or patch that added the latest version of PlantSims. InThe Sims 4, a PlantSim is a temporary state of being for a Sim, and they require water and sunlight to survive. However, between this being a temporary state and the lack of depth included in that state, PlantSims are generally seen as lackluster inThe Sims 4.

Going Back To The Sims 2 Showed Me Everything Wrong With The Sims 4

I tried The Sims 2 again after mostly playing The Sims 4, and it made me realize that it’s not just nostalgia talking when I say that it’s better.

The Sims 4might have a lot of content available, but that doesn’t mean that every feature has depth to it. Instead, it seems likeThe Sims 4is bloated with content that doesn’t add as much as it should, while some features are left alone, and possibly forgotten, which means that states like being a PlantSim don’t seem worthwhile without installing mods to help improve the aspects that fall short. For the sake of the series, it would be a good idea for EA to watch what players want and which mods end up being the most popular forThe Sims 4.
