Warning: Major spoilers ahead for season 4 of Shoresy
Season 4 ofShoresysaw one of its primary stories come to an end with a key romantic twist, opening the door for a major character’s introduction. Since the beginning of the show, Shoresy has been rude to just about every person in his life save for his bird, Big Sexy, and one other person: Sudbury reporter Laura Mohr. In each interaction,Shoresy used hilarious pickup linesand genuine honesty in an attempt to woo the single mother into even the most casual of romantic interactions. It was clear that Shoresy was making progress for the first three seasons.

However, in season 4, their relationship finally took a real step forward. After giving Shoresy a minor ultimatum to find out whether he was “sure” about her over the summer, Shoresy proved his commitment to her with a series of sweet and performative acts, and by remaining faithful to her as opposed tocelebrating the NOSHO cupwith the women of Sudbury. With the two of them planning on “more sleepovers” moving forward, there is one major character thatShoresywill be all but forced to include in season 5 and beyond.
Shoresy Season 4 Is The Closest The Show Has Come To Letterkenny Yet
Season 4 of Shoresy brought the the hockey-focused spinoff of Letterkenny closer to Jared Keeso’s original comedy than ever before.
Shoresy Season 5 Needs To Finally Introduce Laura Mohr’s Kid
It’s Inevitable Now That Shoresy And Laura Are Together
WhileShoresy and Laura beginning to spend more nights togetherseems like the biggest step in their relationship, the truly titanic shift is Laura introducing him to her child. While the two of them seem to have hooked up before theend of season 4,Laura has never invited Shoresy inside while her kid was in the house, or at least not while they were awake. If Shoresy is going to sleep over more often, she will need to introduce him to her child, and vice versa.
Laura Mohr is played by Canadian actress Camille Sullivan, who has been acting in both Canadian TV and movies since 1998, with some appearances in American shows and movies as well.

The comedic potential for Shoresy interacting with a child is sky-high, but in a way, he’s been preparing for it for a while now. The third season ofShoresysaw the foul-mouthed captain and his fellow Bulldogs deliver two seminars and a webinar to an ever-growing audience of young hockey players, and it was made clear that the kids enjoyed Shoresy the most. That was reinforced in season 4 when he legitimately cared for and inspired the Laker players that the Bulldogs mentored over the summer. Shoresy is, ironically, seemingly well-equipped to deal with a child or teenager.
Why Laura Hasn’t Let Shoresy Meet Her Kid Yet
Laura Has Never Trusted Shoresy Enough For An Introduction
As a single mother, Laura’s focus has understandably been on her child for seemingly quite some time. As a result, she has kept her guard up romantically, not letting anyone into her life in any meaningful capacity. Shoresy was not only fighting against her walls being up, but also against his own reputation. Laura mentions in season 1 that he is “famous for wheeling two of his friends' moms in Letterkenny”, in a fun reference to Reilly and Jonesy, and hockey players in general seem to have a reputation of being particularly promiscuous.
Season 5 ofShoresyshould finally feature the scene in which Shoresy meets Laura Mohr’s kid, which could wind up either hysterical or heartwarming, but will no doubt be a great moment

It’s understandable that she would rake Shoresy over the coals to prove his commitment to her, becauseshe has plenty of reason to think that despite his ongoing efforts to charm her, he might be unfaithfulor ditch her outright suddenly. Adding her kid to the mix, even if he or she is a teenager, would be a recipe for disappointment if Shoresy turned out to just be another jerk hockey player. Season 5 ofShoresyshould finally feature the scene in which Shoresy meets Laura Mohr’s kid, which could wind up either hysterical or heartwarming, but will no doubt be a great moment.
