The Acolyte’s Finale Has To Tie Up A Lot Of Loose Ends

Several Plot Threads Need To Be Addressed In The Acolyte Episode 8

WithThe Acolyteepisode 8’s release time established, it is worth exploring what could be part of the installment. Unlike prior entries, there is more pressure onThe Acolyteepisode 8 to wrap up storylines given that is the finale of season 1. Each of the characters that have been introduced in the show must have a neat resolution so that, iffuture seasons ofThe Acolytedo not happen, the show tells a clear, concise story. The first loose end that needs to be tied up concerns Master Sol and Mae.

The Acolyteepisode 7 revolved entirely around the flashbacks on Brendok, which were shown as Sol was revealing this information to Mae. Mae will naturally have a strong reaction to what Sol has told her, and the fallout of their conversation is vital. Similarly, the end goal of Qimir’s journey needs to be defined. Qimir has simply stated that he wishes to live in peace without the Jedi telling him he cannot use the Force as he does, but it is unclear what exactly he strives for.

The Destinies Of Osha & Mae Must Be Decided

The Pivotal Twins Of Brendok Need To Have A Resolution

Speaking of Osha and Mae, the show must reveal what the end point of their storyline is too. One of thenarrative problems ofThe Acolyteis that it does not seem to know the story it is telling. With only one episode remaining, Osha and Mae’s importance to any story outside of their own seems minuscule, aside from Qimir’s seduction of the former and the twins' connections to the Jedi. As such,The Acolyteepisode 8 needs to decide the destiny of Osha and Mae and explain why their story is being told.

Osha and Mae’s Force Dyad connection could see them switch sides in The Acolyte’s finale.

Of course, Mae and Osha are integral to the character arc of Master Sol, who remains the bright spot ofThe Acolyte’s story thanks to the performance of Lee Jung-jae. However, their mysterious origins in the Force and their connection to the overall mystery of Qimir and his plan are undecided as yet, which needs to be addressed inThe Acolyteepisode 8. Hopefully, the definitive story reason for Osha and Mae’s existence is answered inThe Acolyteepisode 8, tying together the disparate plot threads connecting them thus far.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Cast & Character Guide

Here’s everything we know about The Acolyte’s cast and the characters they will be portraying in Star Wars' most mysterious project yet.

How Will Vernestra Rwoh Play Into The Acolyte’s Finale?

Where disconnected plot threads are concerned, none are more prevalent than the one containingStar Wars: The High Republic’s Vernestra Rwoh. For much ofThe Acolyte,Vernestra has simply been present in the story without having much of a bearing on it. Aside from giving Sol some orders early in the season and acting as a connection to the wider organization of the Jedi Order,Vernestra’s importance to the plot ofThe Acolyteis yet to be solidified. That said, theories surrounding Vernestra have been prevalent, andThe Acolyte’s finale must involve her in the story one way or another.

One of the theories concocted about Vernestra is that she is Qimir’s old Jedi Master. Many have likened the winding scar on Qimir’s back to the similarly winding nature of Vernestra Rwoh’s lightsaber whip. If this turns out to be true, Vern would be involved in the overarching story ofThe Acolytemuch more clearly than she already is. Even if this theory does not come to fruition,The Acolyteepisode 8 will hopefully find another way to make Vernestra Rwoh more integral to the story of the overall show.

Will We See More Sith In The Acolyte Episode 8?

More Dark Side Warriors Could Appear In The Acolyte’s Season Finale

Perhaps the biggest question going intoThe Acolyteepisode 8 is whether more Sith warriors will appear. Thus far, only Qimir has appeared inThe Acolytewho can be categorized as a Sith, despite not actually calling himself one. A natural question will be how the Sith continue to play a part inThe Acolyte, especially with showrunner Leslye Headland confirming that she knows how the story of the show would fit into the rise of Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious. As such, the question whether Qimir is tied to any other Sith is oneThe Acolyteepisode 8 could answer.

Audiences could be introduced to Qimir’s Sith Master, if indeed he has one at all…

Given that Qimir, also dubbed The Stranger, played a minimal role inThe Acolyteepisode 7, it is likely he will return in a big way in the finale. If so, audiences could be introduced to Qimir’s Sith Master, if indeed he has one at all. Even if Qimir does not have a Sith Master, the show needs to explain what Qimir’s end goal is with the Jedi, which could tie to other dark side warriors looking to undermine the Order inThe Acolyteepisode 8.
