Sweetpeawill be Purnell’s first show since her big breakout inPrime Video’sFallout, andthe two roles actually share some similarities. InFallout, Lucy is an upbeat and optimistic Vault-Dweller who is hardened and driven to violence by the harsh realities of the post-apocalyptic wasteland. InSweetpea, on the other hand, Purnell’s Rhiannon is a quiet and reserved wallflower who is driven to murder by the struggles of everyday life, such as her job, boyfriend, and family life. Described as a dark comedy,Sweetpeashould provide Purnell another opportunity to continue showcasing her darker side.

Sweetpeawill air on Starz in the U.S. and on Sky Atlantic in the U.K later this year.
