Alone in her house with Dallas, a bloodied and bruised Ava clambers toward her phone and calls the police, telling them that her ex-husband broke into her home and assaulted her.A furious Dallas threatens to kill Avabefore the cops show up, butDivorce in the Black’s protagonist has other plans. Ava reaches down and grabs a shotgun that she hid under the kitchen counter, leveling it at her abusive ex. Dallas taunts Ava, assuming she won’t have the strength to pull the trigger, but he’s very wrong. Ava fires the shotgun, killing Dallas instantly.
